Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Had a booking for 7:30, got seated straight away. Service was extremely attentive and each dish was brought out in latter stages. Two glasses of wine each was perfect to accompany several dishes that were tasty, well thought out and presented beautifully. Recommended to get around 4 plates which we did, we left very full and added on the bread and olives too which are sinfully good, plus a little lemon mousse which rounded everything perfectly. Definitely pre-book just in case, it is a small dining area which can be filled up quick, but it is worth getting in early!"
"Great little place with very friendly staff. Recommended dishes and house wine, which were all delicious. So much so we had to come back for the baby squid again the following day! Highly recommend the baby squid in its own ink and the cheesecake. But everything was delicious!"
"Very well managed restaurant, it is very welcoming, warm and comfortable. The thing that leaves you speechless is the goodness of their dishes. The concept is based on tapas, all the dishes are the result of great passion and great research. If you are in Lisbon it is a MUST!!!"
"Everything was amazing. Best petiscos eGreat wine, delicious food, warm and friendly service. I will definitely come back very time I'm in Lisbon."
"Delicious “small plate” restaurant. The owners serve you and have such a lovely service. Everything we had was delicious."
"We had a lovely evening at A Venta Lusitana. The cozy atmosphere made for a pleasant experience. We tried three dishes and two desserts, which were tasty, though some could have used a bit more seasoning to enhance the flavors. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to our enjoyment. Overall, we felt comfortable and would recommend the restaurant for its welcoming vibe and nice staff. A delightful evening worth repeating!"
"Food was really good, different and beautifully presented We order Monkfish & prawn salad, octopus with garlic and olive oil potatoes - i think this had sardines mixed in with it and had salt added but not mixed in so i didn’t enjoy it as much. We had pork cheeks with red wine my least favourite dish i felt the taste of wine was over powering the meat prawn tartar - the lemon pearls were beautiful overall a delicate taste and black sausage with apple sauce which i didn’t eat because i was full but my son had, found it tender and enjoyed the flavours The food was enjoyable, however because of the service (They didn’t move around tables so it took a while before we placed our order. The man was really friendly though and told us about the menu) I would have given 5 stars had the service been better with both workers"
"An exceptional restaurant. I found most of the restaurants in Lisbon to be super touristy. It requires extra effort to find truly authentic food but this restaurant, serving petiscos, was worth the long walk for us. My daughter & I had the pleasure of dining here on a recent trip and it was the best meal of our vacation. We ordered 4 petiscos to share including- octopus with potatoes, baby squid in its own ink, pork cheeks and baked sheep's cheese with oregano. All the dishes were exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant."
